Being hired as your birth doula is such a deep honor! I know how important it is to cultivate a birth team you trust and are connected to. It is truly such a privilege when I am chosen to support families on this profound journey. As your birth doula, I work extremely hard to ensure you feel safe, loved, deeply supported, and thoroughly informed, so that you are prepared for this beautiful transition into parenthood. I truly believe we are not meant to birth alone. Since the beginning of time, women have supported each other during birth with an understanding of the importance of deep support and connection. I strive to create a space, and feelings, where my clients can look into my eyes and feel that primal need flowing through to them.
As your birth doula, I offer continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period. Unlike clinical providers, who come and go as needed, I remain by your side offering a continuity of care in a system that leaves our mamas with "whichever provider is on call". Research has shown that having a doula can lead to shorter labors, fewer interventions, and a more positive birth experience overall. But beyond that, the true value of a doula lies in something more intangible, the feeling of being seen, heard, loved, and deeply supported.
Birth asks you to soften and surrender, while also calling forward a strength you may have never known before. In those moments, having someone who gently reminds you of your power. A doula who breathes with you, advocates for you, and honors your instincts, can make all the difference. I help you navigate choices with clarity, support your partner so they can be more present, and create a sense of calm within what can sometimes feel like intensity or uncertainty.
For me, this work is deeply personal and profoundly sacred. Being invited into your birth space is something I do not take lightly. It is an honor that I hold with immense reverence. I am stepping into one of the most intimate and transformative moments of your life, a space filled with vulnerability, strength, love, and trust. I am here to walk beside you, witness you, and to support you in a way that feels aligned with who you are and how you wish to birth.
Every family I serve is different, and I believe your care should reflect that. I take time to truly know you, your hopes, your fears, your vision for your birth, so that when the time comes, I can support you in a way that feels intuitive and deeply attuned. Whether you desire a calm, quiet environment, a more vocal and expressive labor, or something in between, I am there to meet you exactly where you are. Being the best birth doula in Tucson is something I strive for every time I walk into a birth space.
My presence is peaceful, calm and gentle, yet strong when needed. I offer reassurance when doubt creeps in, encouragement when things feel intense, and a calm energy that helps anchor the room. I hold space for your partner as well, helping them feel confident and connected in their role. Together, we create an environment where you feel safe to open, to trust, and to fully step into your birthing power.

"I cannot recommend Marie highly enough. After three previous c-sections (without a doula), I was determined to achieve a successful VBA3C (Vaginal Birth After 3 Cesareans), especially since many doctors take a "once a c-section, always a c-section" approach. Having Marie by my side put me at complete ease.
Marie was incredibly honest that I would have been her first VBAC, and she immediately showed her dedication by taking the time to learn the extra precautions needed. I shared with her the trauma from my prior deliveries—where providers rushed to surgery rather than allowing time to reposition, and where I was treated with disrespect.
Marie supported my goal to avoid unnecessary interventions. She took the time to review what she could do to help voice my concerns and ensure I had time to process decisions. Throughout the 62 hours of hospital labor, she was an unwavering advocate. When hospital staff came in rushing about the baby's heart rate, Marie helped me change positions, and the issue resolved immediately. When a night surgeon questioned why I wanted more children instead of opting for a c-section, Marie kept me grounded and focused.
Though a 62-hour labor wasn't what we planned for, Marie refused to leave my side despite being tired. Thanks to her support, I had a successful vaginal delivery after three c-sections, defying the odds. If Marie hadn't been in my corner, I don't think I could have trusted myself to withstand the pressure for 60 hours. I am forever grateful for her dedication and care.
Marie truly shines when helping women through their most vulnerable situations. Her empathetic nature and unwavering advocacy make her an exceptional doula."
