As your birth photographer, my role is to gently and unobtrusively document this story as it naturally unfolds, preserving the beauty, strength, and emotion woven into your experience.

 

My approach is rooted in a photojournalistic style. This means I do not pose, direct, or interrupt the rhythm of your labor. Instead, I move quietly within your space, observing with intention and capturing what is real. The steady breath between contractions, the way your partner holds your hand, the depth in your eyes as you move through each wave, these are the moments that matter. The ones that might otherwise blur with time but deserve to be remembered forever.

And then, in an instant, everything changes.

 

The first cry, the first breath, the first time your baby is placed on your chest, these are moments that cannot be recreated. They are tender, powerful, and filled with a love that is both ancient and entirely new. I am there to capture those first glances, the tears, the awe, the quiet stillness that follows. The way your hands instinctively reach for your baby. The way time seems to pause, just for a moment, as you meet each other for the very first time.

 

The hours just after birth carry a softness all their own. Intimate, and deeply emotional. These early moments of skin to skin, first feeds, the gentle exploration of your baby’s features, are just as meaningful as the birth itself. They are the beginning of your story together outside the womb, and they deserve to be remembered with the same care and reverence.

My presence is calm and intuitive, allowing you to remain fully immersed in your experience while I preserve it from the background. Having the experience of being a birth doula gives me the understanding of the birth space that other photographers may not possess.
